Officials Concerned About Power Failure Months Before Big Game!

While the cause of a 34-minute blackout at the Super Bowl remains under investigation, we've learned that Superdome officials were aware there could be electrical problems.

Back in October the company that supplies the stadium with power reported tests on the electrical feeders showed "some decay and a chance of failure." Those feeders provide service from Entergy to the Dome and "circumstances had previously occurred with the electrical service regarding transient spikes and loads," according to records released on Monday.

Entergy officials and Dome engineers were concerned about "the reliability of service from Entergy's connection point to the Dome."
