Vince Neil says he won't be at a loss for work once Motley Crue calls it quits.
The singer tells "Vegas Rocks! Magazine" he has his "own stuff," including his solo band. He adds that he plans to spend a lot of time on the road, and not just with his own group.
He says "it looks like" he and Sammy Hagar will be teaming up for "a long tour next year" - which will actually be before Motley Crue wraps up their run. However, no dates for a Vince Neil-Sammy Hagar 2014 trek have been announced yet.
Motley Crue members have been indicating they plan to split up after a final tour in 2015, which drummer Tommy Lee recently said was in part due to guitarist Mick Mars' chronic back condition. But Neil is denying those claims, and adds that he doesn't know why Lee said it was.
Vince explains that he thought they all agreed to go out while Motley Crue is still "on top," because they "didn't wanna be one of those bands that start fading away." He also doesn't rule out the occasional one-off reunion once they do split up. Neil adds that he'll continue "carrying the torch for Motley Crue when Motley Crue is done."
